Fundraising opportunities with national brands
Dear member,
I am writing today to ask if you can help with a fundraising opportunity.
Members have suggested that we ask national businesses and shops that operate in our area if they give donations to local causes.
I've looked into the 105 national businesses with a presence in our area to see what they offer for community groups.
Some of the companies rely on their local branches to work with good causes. Do you know anyone who works at the following stores, or would you be willing to make contact?
ASDA stores have a Asda Community Champion in store
B&M staff choose which projects to support
Card Factory matches fundraising by staff
EE contributes to fundraising by staff
Hays Travel: "branches have the freedom to make their own decision about who and what they would like to fundraise for"
The Original Factory website says "Visit your nearest store to learn about the local causes we're supporting and discover how you can get involved to help your community!"
M&S staff can fundraise and volunteer with support from M&S
NatWest may support staff fundraising efforts
Sainsbury's staff "have the opportunity to fundraise and volunteer their time to local good causes"
Please let me know if you would like to approach any of the above so that we avoid duplication.
Two-thirds of the national businesses in our area only work with their chosen national charities or don't do any community giving/engagement.
The remaining national chains say they support their communities, but have no details online, so can be contacted for more information.
If you would like to see the list in Google Sheets and what I found for each one please let me know.
Kind regards,
James Burrage
