Join us on Friday, July 19 at Birdsong for an evening of finely-crafted folk music with Toronto’s Shawna Caspi — singer-songwriter, painter, and poetic truth-teller.

Shawna’s songs are rich with story and soul, carried by warm vocals and intricate fingerstyle guitar. Her most recent album, Hurricane Coming — nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award — dives deep into burnout, healing, and the slow work of coming back to yourself.

In a world that often rushes past the real stuff, Shawna makes space for honesty, nuance, and the kind of songs that feel like they’ve been waiting just for you. Expect vivid imagery, unexpected rhymes, and melodies that move you.
