On Friday, August 14, we're delighted to welcome back some dear friends and wonderful musicians for a special double bill. If you're looking for a little of that outdoor summer concert magic—a warm evening, great music, and good company—we'd love to have you join us.

The Blair Brothers bring together two veteran Canadian musicians whose combined musical experience spans more than a century. Brothers Bob and Rick Blair have each built long and varied careers, performing across Canada and beyond in country, folk, jazz, theatre, and roots music. Now, with Rick based on Galiano Island and Bob splitting his time between Alberta and British Columbia, they're delighted to be performing together regularly.

Their easy musical rapport is matched by an impressive instrumental range, with guitar, mandolin, bass, pedal steel, dobro, and Weissenborn weaving through a repertoire of songs, stories, and instrumental music rooted in folk, country, and traditional styles. Whether on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, or stages farther afield, the Blair Brothers bring warmth, musicianship, and decades of experience to every performance.

Joining them is Kimberley MacGregor, whose powerful songwriting and soulful performances have earned her Female Artist of the Year at the Edmonton Music Awards in both 2015 and 2016. After leaving behind a successful banking career to pursue music full-time, Kimberley has released three acclaimed albums and now calls Qualicum Beach home. Her music moves effortlessly between blues, folk, and rock, combining strength, vulnerability, wit, and plenty of soul.

We hope you'll join us for an evening of exceptional musicianship in the relaxed setting of a Birdsong house concert.
