I am not as organized as I appear.

Sure, I am literally the Director of CS Operations as my day job. I’ve kept a cadre of kids alive to the late teen years and beyond. I am by all measures a functional adult.

But I have little piles of mess. I will walk away from a project for weeks at a time without looking back. If my sweet husband didn’t do the dishes every day, I fear what our kitchen would look like.

All that to say, I would really like to write to you weekly. And I shall do my best. If you are also someone who is not very organized, who means to text back (really!), and who has a chair pile for laundry, let’s be friends. Because I know your heart would rather focus on the people around you. On the food you make to feed others. On the creative pursuits. One sitting one more moment with your child or pet (they leave us too soon. do sit down).

Let’s be messy and kind and curious together. Let’s embrace our little bits of light chaos.
