“Catfish is back for its zillionth season,” I slacked to Sarah. “We should talk about it on the podcast.” She shot a link back almost immediately. We had talked about it fairly recently, last September to be exact. I’d forgotten it, in the same way I do almost every episode of Catfish right after I watch it.

But what if, in its 12th year, Catfish launched an extended universe of deception-and-its-unveiling shows? Wouldn’t you be at least a little intrigued? I sure would.
