The crime
Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson, an up-and-coming star of gravel-race cycling, was murdered in May of 2022 by Kaitlin Armstrong, the partner of an on-again off-again love interest of Wilson's, Colin Strickland. 

The story

Much of the contemporary coverage of Wilson's murder focused on the love-triangle, woman-scorned aspect of the case – that Strickland, also a name in the gravel-racing scene, had a reputation for…let's say "understating" the seriousness of his relationship with Armstrong. The implication, often stated outright, that Strickland's toxic aversion to commitment had driven Armstrong crazy, thereby getting Wilson killed, is the kind of compelling motive that keeps a case in the headlines.
