American netlet The CW imported ITV's Joan as part of its...whatever it's doing now; EB and SDB don't understand what the six-part docudrama on legendary heister/and crime boss Joan Hannington* is doing on the Dawson's network, but we do understand how expensive-looking it is, what we like about the thoughtful production design and pacing, and which levels of process-y shot composition a story like this requires. Stir a couple of marquis cuts into your cuppa and have a listen!
