The new docudrama series from MGM Plus has a lot to recommend it. Does it have enough to recommend it? 

The crime
On a frigid February day in 1977, frustrated Indianapolis developer Tony Kiritsis took his contact at the Meridian Mortgage Company, Dick Hall, hostage – in the most histrionic fashion possible, rigging up a "dead man's switch" from his neck to Hall's and claiming he'd festooned his apartment with explosives.

Press soon got wind of the crisis, but Kiritsis didn't care for the coverage, and reached out to Fred Heckman, "the most trusted newsman in Indianapolis," to get his side of the story out. Heckman functionally stepped into the story as a hostage negotiator.
