Plus: how you might become true-crime fodder
the true crime that's worth your time
Mark my words: Someone is going to give you The League of Lady Poisoners for Christmas, your birthday, or another holiday in 2023. That’s not necessarily a bad thing! I just want you to be prepared.
The book, by illustrator Lisa Perrin (she’s also an art prof at Baltimore’s Maryland Institute College of Art), is — without a doubt — going to catch the eye of your friends and family as they scan the shelves at their local bookstore. “I know they like to read,” they thought as they walked in the door, “oh, and I know they like true crime!” And then this book will draw their attention, as there’s no way any bookstore worth its salt isn’t going to have this gorgeous volume displayed front and center.
