the true crime that's worth your time
Mindhunter might not ever catch GSK. The John Douglas-based Netflix show has been put on hold, TVLine reports, and its cast has been released from their contracts. A Netflix spokesperson says that the show hasn’t been canceled, but executive producer David Fincher is just so busy with other things that they don’t know when he’ll be free to oversee a third season.
Fincher “may revisit Mindhunter again in the future,” Netflix said via statement, “but in the meantime felt it wasn’t fair to the actors to hold them from seeking other work while he was exploring new work of his own.” Guess that means we might never learn if Bill Tench’s kid grows up to be a legit baddie — or if he’s just a little shit who’ll grow out of his murderous phase. — EB
