Running gags on other podcasts to the contrary, I don't know, or care, THAT much more about the DB Cooper case than the average person. It has the same appeal to me that unsolved prison breaks and heists always have, that tantalizing quality, the fact that you could conceivably never run out of conversation about it. But thanks to those running gags, I DO have a certain...well, "aversion" is a little strong. Let's say reluctance, then, to engage with mainstream-culture treatments of the case, because I feel sure they'll get something wrong, or annoy me some other way.
