The crime
The murders of (at least) eight women by Rex Heuermann.

The story, which may contain spoilers
Recommendation-wise, Prime's four-parter on the LISK/Gilgo Beach case, Killing Grounds: The Gilgo Beach Murders, is a tough one. It's simultaneously probably not worth the full three-ish hours, and will reward viewers who wade in anyway with glimpses of something significant, something more.

The Gilgo Beach Murders sign written in chalk on a dark surface, referencing the infamous criminal case and its chilling history.
