Hello, Best Evidence newsletter subscribers! Thanks so much for being here. We know the move and changes to editorial-dashboard stuff has been a bit of a pain, so thanks for your patience (and thanks to our Dolly Brother Andy Dehnart for his tireless tweaking and fixes! He’s the best).
A couple of quick administrative items before you return to your weekends:
The email iteration of Best Evidence now lives here, at Buttondown.email/bestevidencefyi. The Substack iteration will cease to exist shortly; our archive now lives here and at reality blurred.
That means, alas, that internal links in the archives may no longer work. With years of material under our belts, it may take some time to fix that, so we apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
We’re still seeing some little blips in terms of paid-sub management after the changeover, so if you’re having issues there, feel free to reach out (editorial at bestevidence dot fyi) – but your best bet is to go directly to Stripe.com and check your settings there.
Now that we’ve settled in at our new home, it’s time to tweak subscription functionalities a bit! Going forward, here’s what to expect at various sub levels:
FREE SUBSCRIBERS: you’ll get teaser notifications for updates and new content. To read the whole piece, click through to the blog.
PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS: you’ll also get the update notifications, but you’ll be able to read new stuff in the Buttondown app/your email, without the extra step. (This is basically the same system we used on Substack.)
You’ll also get bonus material at least once a month, as before, and access to the entire archive, also as before. Buttondown is always upgrading and trying to make its interface more intuitive, but again, if you’re struggling, reach out and we’ll try to assist.
