The crime
Also per the jacket, Norco '80: The True Story of the Most Spectacular Bank Robbery in American History "tells the story of how five heavily armed young men -- led by an apocalyptic born-again Christian -- attempted a bank robbery that turned into one of the most violent criminal events in U.S. history." It also turned into a dozens-of-miles-long crime scene, occasioned the longest and most expensive trial in California jurisprudence (certainly to that date, and if the OJ Simpson debacle surpassed it, author Peter Houlahan doesn't mention it), and involved a scandalous...well, I won't spoil it.
