Scraping university menus
Hi friends!
This week, I pushed forward my tufts.lol app, which is the collection of little utilities for Tufts that I’m building (to practice writing SwiftUI).
I’m scraping their ugly meal plan website every day at midnight, caching it, and presenting it in a page of the app:

I’m happy with how it came out! I have to create a way for Apple’s reviewers to log into the app and test it out, and then I can send it through review so other people can download it too.
Relatedly, that was something on my list of next-up projects: the other being to finish up tiny-notion-api, a piece of infrastructure I need to build before I can publish my notes for the Spring 2023 semester (like I did for Fall 2022).
This week, I also wrote a few more things on ben.page:
More about a questionable (?) reason that I want to double major
My favorite features I’ve built for War Room recently
That’s all for this week!
I hope you’re doing swimmingly,
Ben
