Oatmeal blog templates and yet another note-taking app

Happy Monday. Here’s what I got up to in the last week:
I shipped an early version of public blogs working on Oatmeal! You can write in Notion, and then publish to this first somewhat bland template that I built. Eventually I’ll build out more templates, and you’ll be able to tweak them to your heart’s content, but starting somewhere is good.
Jerome did point out to me that there are massive security dangers to how I was going to allow people to fully customize their site, so — gotta go back to the drawing board for that part.
I built a little note-taking app for myself! Demo video here. It’s one of those situations where I got the itch to build a little app, so I spent a few days doing it, and now who knows whether I’ll actually use it. I seem to bounce between note-taking apps like nobody’s business. But I learned some new stuff about React Native, so it’s somewhat worth it.
