Hello modern hominids,

Worldcon is upon us! It’s been several years since I attended in person, and I’m very excited to be ending that streak in Seattle next week. I’ve got something going on every day of the con — panels, a reading, a signing, a table talk, and a super chill one-hour writing class. The table talk and the class both require signing up in advance, which I’m told can be done either online through your convention portal, or in person at the Info Table. For those who aren’t attending Worldcon (or, those who want to venture out beyond the convention center), the inimitable Charlie Jane Anders is hosting her long-running literary variety show Writers With Drinks at Town Hall Seattle, on August 14 at 7:30 pm. Come see me, Annalee Newitz, Darcie Little Badger, Andrea Hairston, and Cecilia Tan as we step on stage and read you some great stuff. I’m probably going to bust out something from my new book-in-progress for the occasion. Perhaps. Quite likely. I reserve the right to change my mind. Tickets are going fast, so grab them while you can.
