US paperback launch and other fun stuff

Greetings! As of today, A Closed and Common Orbit is officially, physically available in the U S of A. If you've been waiting patiently for that new book smell, I'm sure your local brick-and-mortar shop can hook you up (or, if you'd prefer to snag a copy right now, you can order through your online vendor of choice).

On the subject of Closed and Common, I'm delighted to share that it's been nominated for Best Novel in this year's British Science Fiction Association Awards. The winner will be chosen at Eastercon on April 15. I sadly won't be able to attend, but I'll be there in spirit.

I'm in the middle of writing the next one, but in the meantime, I've got a short story coming up in a smashing science fantasy collection called Cosmic Powers: The Saga Anthology of Far-Away Galaxies. It'll be out April 18, and it's chock-full of crazy space adventures. If you'd like to get your hands on an advance copy, you can throw your name in the hat over at Goodreads, where a free giveaway is afoot.

I've got a new post on Tor.com today, too! It is about aliens and families, two of my very favorite topics.

Finally, if you happen to be in California, I'll be out and about on the Redwood Coast this week. Come say hey at Northtown Books in the lovely city of Arcata, March 17 at 7:00 PM. We'll have plenty of copies of Closed and Common, and I'll be scribbling in them.

Thanks for your time, and keep looking up!

- Becky
