A contest with a spiffy prize
Hello, carbon-based lifeforms! I have some exciting news to pass along today. My publisher, Hodder & Stoughton, is holding a Wayfarers fan art contest, and the winner will get a minor character named after them in my next book. No kidding! I approved this! (And I think it's pretty neat.)
Full details of the contest can be found here. But in short, all you've got to do is submit a picture (your own picture, mind you -- steer clear of copyright woes) on Instagram or Twitter with the tag #WayfarerFanArtComp. If character drawing isn't your thing, not to worry. Any sort of artistic expression is eligible. You could send in a travel poster, some word art, a cosplay photo, a logo for one of the GC's many fine eateries -- anything!
In addition to the me-naming-someone-after-you thing, the winner will be the first to receive an advance proof of my next book (once I, y'know, finish it), plus £100 worth of Hodderscape books. Three runners up will also receive £100 worth of books. (That's a lot of books.)
All entries have to be in by July 18. There are no location restrictions for this, so no matter where you are on the planet, you can take part. If you have questions about the rules or anything else contest-related, you'll want to get in touch with the good folks at Hodderscape (sliding into their mentions at @hodderscape is your best bet).
Have fun, and best of luck!
Becky
