I was unaware of some of the very powerful search parameters on Twitter until I saw this popular thread:

As Twitter is increasingly hosting longer blog post-like threads, media and useful resources, being able to fine-tune a search for historic tweets is really helpful. With advanced search, you can specify hashtags, mentions, location, date ranges and more.

In this shortcut, the advanced search options are wrapped up in iOS menus which prompt for the text string, number or date you wish to choose as appropriate. The resulting search is opened in the Twitter app if installed, or directly in the web browser.
