Sunday Shortcut: Turn your Photos into Rich Reminders
I often take screenshots and photos over the course of the day to remind me to do something. Recently this has included things like looking up a book I read an interesting review of, downloading a PDF version of a manual and remembering to claim some cash back.
However, these snaps can easily get lost in the recent photo stream, and I like to keep that free of screenshots (and full of cat photos). A much better place for them is Reminders.
This shortcut takes a selection of photos and turns them into reminders - each photo is a subtask of a new ‘Process Photos’ reminder. The original photo is attached, with any text captured from the image in a note and any URLs present in the image clickable. There is an option to delete the processed photos once the reminders have been created. You can automatically run this on all recent screenshots, or use a photo picker to manually select the photos you’d like to process.
If you’d like to try it out, you can download the shortcut here.
As always, let me know if you have any feedback, or would like to request a shortcut, on Twitter.
Until next week,
Rebecca
