Sunday Shortcut: Apple Music Collage
Apple Music provides great Shortcut actions, including ways to filter and sort your music. I enjoy seeing a visual summary of music I’ve listened to recently - often a mix of new discoveries and old favourites from Apple’s personalised mixes - so I made this shortcut to easily add a collage to my Day One journal.
When running the shortcut, you can choose how many weeks of recent listen data you want to include, and how to sort this (by play count, most recent play or randomly). This shortcut uses the fantastic free utility app Actions by Sindre Sorhus, which provides many useful Shortcuts actions. Here, I make use of actions to manipulate lists to remove duplicate album art and ensure there are no gaps in the grid.
