Sunday Shortcut: Air Quality Check
The quality of the air we breathe is fundamental to our health, but information about air pollution isn’t easy to access. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), air pollution is “is the greatest environmental threat to health” worldwide.
With this shortcut, you can check the levels of air pollution in your current location, or anywhere in the world, and get a quick visual indication of whether the air quality is within WHO guidelines.
The results are colour coded:
🟢 - within WHO guidelines
🟡 - exceeds the long-term exposure limit (annual or peak season averaging)
🔴 - also exceeds the short-term exposure limit (typically 24 hour averaging)
If you’d like to read more about air quality, check out this feature from the WHO, which includes a table and explanation of the guidelines used in this shortcut.

As always, let me know if you have any feedback, or would like to request a shortcut, on Twitter. If you’re enjoying Sunday Shortcut, please share it, it really helps me out!
Until next week,
