It’s a personal thing for me to keep all of you on track as best as I can.
Mostly on Social Media Channels such as LinkedIn and Instagram. But the algorithms might not take you to all the news I have for you.

It’s spring in Vienna and I couldn’t be happier to feel the sun again on my skin and having an iced americano in a beautiful Schanigarten.

The last month went with ups and downs but read for yourself…

Hope and trust in the system.

Did you ever experienced the feeling, that you’ve done what you could and now have to wait? Yes, like in a pitch situation, but even closer.

I’ve recently worked on a great opportunity for a new motion branding client. Talked to the Lead Design Agency, got several people on board and even had the first workshop methods ready. – postponed. again postponed. again pos… you know where it lead to: no workshop. No Motion Branding.

A talk to the Lead Design Agency cleared up the situation. It wasn’t my fault. The client just had to slow things down and reschedule their ambitions.

Whatever the problem is, it’s frustrating to give everything out of hand and wait for the uncertain outcome.

But hey: I’m here. With an almost finished workshop plan (of course I’ve stopped the work right away and moved to other tasks) and hope for the client to get back on track for their Motion Branding journey.

.MOGRTs for Fachhochschule Campus Wien

Agency FONDA asked me to help with the already existing animations for the FH Campus Wien and create a fresh set of Motion Graphics Templates.

The content creation team already love the first version of a Lower Third as a dynamic and customizable .MOGRT, since “it makes their workflow much easier.”

If I didn’t need the money to pay rent and buy food: seriously… this feedback would be payment enough.❤️

Gatorade x ALBA Berlin

I’ve recently teamed up with Berlin agency DRAVT Sports and created an animated Opener for the Gatorade x ALBA Berlin FANTALK interview format. It’s shown on social media and in the UBER Arena in front of 13.000 basketball fans every game day 🏀

It was important to give both brands enough space but bring them together within seven seconds. Together with Sebastian Valbuena from DRAVT, I’ve developed an energizing and buzzing style that fulfills the demands of Gatorade and ALBA Brand managers completely.

On top I was able to get Audio Specialist Sebastian Jautschus on board to bring the clip to life with a custom soundtrack. I love my network ❤️

Inside a Freelance Motion Designers Life

I’ve started to implement a clear structure to my everyday life. Get up early, hit the gym, breakfast, work, lunch, work, dinner, free time.

Humans are structured creatures and so am I.

Most recently I’ve started reading a book called “The 5 am Club” by Robin Sharma. Nono, I’m not getting um that early, but the more pages I read, the more I get about what it means to structure your day so that you don’t have to make decisions. Very good for your time spaces and nerves. 💣

Breakfast Club Vienna

Speaking about getting up early. I’ve followed the invitation of Carla Moss to the Vienna Breakfast Club at Café Français in 1090 Vienna. People from many different industries are coming together and just… meet. New insights and angles on topics I rarely or never touch was a very good start to the day.

The Breakfast Club takes place every second Thursday of the month at Café Français in 1090 Vienna. (Right next to Votivkirche)

Motion Design Systems – by Kef Williams

As I have already written in the last Issue of this newsletter, I had a very interesting interview situation with Kef Williams. He asked me about why I’ve become a Motion Designer and my approach to handle clients and workshops.
