The Taniyn Newsletter Vol. 25: What Does Bujo Even Mean
Yo!
I would love for it to stop being hot, but Colorado seems intent on being 90 degrees until September, where we'll most likely go to -7F or whatever completely out of nowhere.
Oh well. Grab some shade and your reading glasses - it's newsletter time.
Interesting Stuff
Chengyu Wordle
A version of Wordle that's all Chinese Idioms! Pretty neat!
CRPG Book Screenshots
Here's a repository of a bunch of PC RPGs! Very cool to peruse through.

Me too man.
Bubble Wrap Party
From the same person that did Chengyu Wordle up above! Slap your keyboard and pop bubbles. Honestly not too bad if you have a mechanical keyboard or touch screen!
Wada Sanzo | Dictionary of Color Combinations
I love finding new color palettes for designs and stuff. Hope these are useful!
Can I Play That?
A game website focused on the perspective of disabled gamers! It's awesome and important so give it a bookmark.
Game UI Database
What it sounds like! If you're into UI/UX (like me!) check it out. Lots of great resources and inspiration to pull from.
Planted this Week
Thoughts on The Bullet Journal Book
I've been bullet journaling lately and wanted to see how the guy who came up with the methodology does it. I did not get that! Instead I got a terrible self-help book. So if you wanna see me rip into that for 1.1k words, feel free!
Media Corner
Games
It's still roguelikes season. I pretty much maxed out Tiny Rogues for now, so I'm currently focused on The Void Rains Upon Her Heart. Did you know it has 715 achievements as of this writing? That's wild.
I've been watching my friends play Fields of Mistria like Squidward looking out the window at Patrick and Spongebob. Yeah, I could buy the game too...but I know if I do I'll burn out on it before the romance even gets added! I will wait impatiently.
TV/Film
I just came back from watching Alien: Romulus. It was really good! I'm not an Alien superfan by any means, but I'd say that's the best one since the original films. Lots to appreciate. Glad I watched it in broad daylight! I'm gonna be pissed if I have a dream about a Xenomorph.
I've been trying to get to Love is Blind: UK, but I've literally been too busy these past few weeks. Frankly, I need some time off, but that's neither here nor there. The nice thing is that more episodes come out the longer it takes for me to get to them, so I'll have lots of garbage to sit down to.
Music
Some albums for you to check out:
Transcendental Jazz Against the Void - Metamatics
Impulse - Enough Cereals
Esperwave & Manawave - Natsukashii
I recently realized that I can have my music airplay to my computer speakers in front of me and the Sonos speaker behind me. This is the closest I have ever gotten to experiencing surround sound in my lifetime so far.
Status Update
Busy busy busy. There's always so much to do and never enough to do it. Plus some other struggles, but I won't use the letter as my vent channel LOL. It's all good!
In positive news, yesterday I got to go up to Estes Park. We drove up the winding mountain roads after stopping in my college town for a while - a city which is regrettably gorgeous to look at, despite how much I hated being there.
We stopped at the lake and had a picnic. The weather was perfect, the breeze was wonderful, and it was nice to just completely unplug from the rest of the world for a while. Touching grass is unironically pretty great.
Signing Off
Hope you had a chill weekend! See you next week!
