The Taniyn Newsletter Vol. 24: Very Normal
Hello hello!
What a perfectly normal week it has been. :)
Anyways!
Interesting Stuff
How to keep using a bullet journal instead of giving up after a month
Sometimes you get a great post that's exactly what you need in a particular point in time. This week's: a great bit of writing from NoelB on keeping a bullet journal!
This is the beginning of the end of the generative AI boom
Yippie!!!!
This Minecraft Lego Set I Built

this minecraft build i did was absolutely delightful, probably my favorite lego build i’ve ever done as an adult. it’s up there at least, himeji castle was awesome too. incredibly intuitive, satisfying, and i never got frustrated. there are so many cute details, like the minecart you can’t see pictured under the waterfall, which has a cave. also the back is a crafting block!

Another Post About Racist Spaces
Not gonna elaborate on this - if you know you know, if you don't, don't worry about it. But I did write it so it's getting put in here LOL.
Roguelikes and Landslides
In lighter news, I wrote about a new understanding I've gotten in terms of how I feel about and interact with roguelikes, and how fun it is to absolutely snowball through them. Give it a look!
Media Corner
I got really into roguelikes, as explained above hahaha. The ones taking the crown currently are Tiny Rogues and an unbelievably cute one called The Void Rains Upon Her Heart, which I'd like to write about separately at some point!
Beyond that I haven't really been able to enjoy much media to be honest! Just toooooo busy. I have a lot of stuff I want to catch up on though, like all the new episodes of Make Some Noise. I also, for reasons I cannot explain, want to rewatch every Spongebob episode from beginning to current day. Sure brain, why not! Not like you got anything you need to do! :)
For music: Sunsound Collisions by 2 Mello dropped, and is perfect listening whilst writing this newsletter!
Status Update
I mean, you can probably guess to some extent if you clicked through the link above, but it's all good. I'm pushing through it! Sometimes it feels overwhelming, but I usually like to do the following:
Stop whatever I'm doing
Take 3 big deep breaths
Write a list of every thought in my brain.
Doing this feels like decompressing my head so that it stops overheating. Just getting down my thoughts and worries and tasks out onto my bullet journal is enough to calm me down and feel like I'm in control again. If that's something you struggle with, give it a shot! I hope it helps you too.

Last week I wrote that I hope this upcoming week is a little easier for me...I'm not gonna jinx it this time. That said, thanks for reading! Hit the ko-fi link below if you like this letter, or even just drop a comment or suggestion. 💚
