Life update & new release sneak peek...

Happy disability pride/awareness month!
It feels very appropriate to admit to forgetting to send a queer pride email during disability pride month. ๐ June was a high-symptom month for me, so Iโm going to be leaning away from concrete dates since I really canโt predict how much energy Iโm going to have in a given day/month. But the good news is, you can snag queer pride stickers from my Redbubble shop any time of year!
What disability pride means to me
Some aspects of my disability are part of my identity--like being autistic and ADHD. They're parts I'd never change about myself, because they're part of who I am. I'm proud of my autism and ADHD, even with all the challenges.
On the other hand, I'm not necessarily "proud" of having Long COVID and POTS. But I am proud to belong to the disabled community, to treat myself with grace and kindness, to take the accommodations I need. I'm proud of unlearning my internalized ableism. I'm proud of seeing the dignity and depth in every type of human experience.
Mini life update
It's properly summer which means there's green and flowers everywhere! In between the heat waves, I've been spending some time outside which is so good for my soul.
As I mentioned, June was a high-symptom month, including what I'm pretty sure was a week-long migraine. Fae Farm on the Switch saved me from abject misery. Sometimes you just need to go catch butterflies and raise magic bunnies and woo your goth fairy wife until you can function again.
New release coming soon!
Another novella is coming soon to the world of Teraton and Honeysuckle Farm! Modern Monsters: Sugar & Spice book 2 will release some time in the next month, spoons willing.
I'll do a shorter preorder window this time, but ARCs will still be available for a couple weeks overlapping the launch. ARCs are limited to 25 total, so be sure to keep an eye out on your inbox to snag your copy when they're ready!
Sneak peek
If you ask me whether I'd rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear, my answer is: "I wrote a bear shifter romance about it."
Jay is a badass Park Ranger who loves every part of her job except for dealing with unwanted advances from shitty male campers. Arthur is a grizzly shifter hiding out in the woods because he has trouble staying in his human form, and grizzlies aren't exactly welcome in the grocery store, even in Teraton.
When their paths cross, passion and peril ensue. Will they make it out alive? (You know they will, this is a happily ever after guaranteed, but you're going to enjoy reading about it anyway.)
Want to be the first to see the cover reveal and character art? Well, you don't need to do anything since that'll all land here first! ;)
What else is cooking...
In the world of Teraton and Honeysuckle Farm, I've got an MM centaur x serpentaur novella fully outlined and potentially a full series of connected standalones spinning off of the upcoming bear shifter book. I might spend some time in Teraton and build some momentum for that series before switching marketing gears.
You'll likely see a secondary pen name from me soon to hold my works that are more erotic horror/concept stories, which may have less-mainstream content advisories and lack a traditional happy ending. Think corrupting succubi, egg-depositing plant monsters, that sort of thing.
Before we get into that, though, I'll be working on getting paperbacks available!! Draft 2 Digital has a great process for this, and I just need to get a few formatting ducks in a row since those things are harder to change once the print ISBNs are provisioned. This includes a name and logo for my mini publishing imprint, which are now ready to go and I'm very excited to share with you all soon. :)
That's all for now! Thanks for following along during this very sporadic phase of my journey, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing to create books for y'all to enjoy. ๐
Stay tasty,
๐ Beth/Cookie
