Manny Yekutiel Quits District 8 Race After New Assault Claims — His Mission Café at the Center of the Story

Mayor Daniel Lurie and six city supervisors rescinded their endorsements within hours; labor unions and advocacy groups including GrowSF followed. Yekutiel had previously denied an earlier allegation made in June by political organizer Brad Chapin.

The session, reported by Mission Local, centered on familiar concerns: open drug use at all hours on stretches of Albion, San Carlos, and Woodward streets; dirty sidewalks; and officers who residents said appeared to drive past violations without stepping out of their vehicles.
