Cow Hollow Victorian Sells for $8.6M — Nearly $3 Million Over Asking in Two Weeks

A 1911 Thomas Patterson Ross-designed home on Filbert Street closed at 46 percent above its list price, the latest sign of fierce competition for scarce luxury homes in these neighborhoods.

The Cow Hollow luxury market delivered another eye-catching result last week. The three-story, 4,190-square-foot home at 2441 Filbert Street hit the market September 18 at $5.9 million and sold two weeks later, on October 2, for $8.6 million — a gap of $2.7 million, or roughly 46 percent above asking. The sale was reported by The Real Deal and the San Francisco Business Times on October 8.

The federal lawsuit filed in September over the proposed Marina Safeway redevelopment continues to move through the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. West Harbor Dredge Due This Month as Marina Yacht Harbor Eyes Fall Sand Buildup

SF Rec & Park's October 1 update shows the channel open but a second dredge episode imminent, following a spring effort that removed nearly 39,000 cubic yards of sediment after a months-long blockage drew city-wide attention.

San Francisco's Marina Yacht Harbor is navigating its second sedimentation episode of 2026. The SF Recreation and Parks Department's October 1 weekly update lists the West Harbor channel as open — but cautioned mariners to navigate with care — and notes that a fall dredging round is still on the calendar. According to the SF Marina Harbor Association, the spring episode was completed on June 28 and was always intended to be followed by another dredge in October.
