What does $5000 do for a studio?
Our grants give early-stage studios breathing room to make decisions deliberately rather than desperately. $5,000 allows your team to focus on building your foundation – developing governance agreements and practising collective decision-making – without the immediate pressure of chasing income or giving up ownership to survive.
What does ‘underrepresented’ mean?
This is a broadly inclusive term meant to prioritize those who have been socially and structurally excluded from accessing capital, professional networks, studio employment or career progression; who have faced barriers to participating in entrepreneurship and government funding programs.
We are not prescriptive about this and trust you to self-identify.
