Hey my babies! It’s Friday and I honestly have been so busy this week that I forgot to even draft the weekly newsletter. I’m currently falling asleep at my desk as I type this out. What have I been busy with, you ask? I’ll tell you!

Until I Have Healed You is being released a whole year early! It was originally scheduled to be released on Nov 22, 2025, and I’ve moved it up to Nov 22, 2024! Don’t ask me what I was thinking. I don’t really know.

As you can imagine, I’m working really hard to get everything ready!

Here are the updates so far:

• I’ve started self editing my manuscript (mainly developmental edits) and need to get it sent to my copyeditor by Sept 1st. I’m nowhere near finished and stressed out about it.

• I’ve signed a contract with a PR company to help me with the ARC campaign and help push pre-orders & the release! (This is the first official contract that I’ve signed as an indie author!) I’m excited to get some release excitement created around this book.

• I’ve started & finished creating the book’s cover! (I originally planned to get character art done by a professional illustrator but the costs and the timeline weren’t adding up so I did it myself!) I used Canva to create the cover, and it came out good if I do say so myself. :)

• I’ve created the cover reveal graphics! (EEEEEE SO EXCITING THEY LOOK SO GOOD!) I spent 5 hours in Affinity Photo trying to get the numerous book cover mockups I had to buy and scour the internet for to look decent. Then spent two more hours in Canva putting it all together and adding the finishing touches. If people don’t like this cover I’ll be absolutely crushed. (P.S. The cover reveal is on Sept 4th! If you want to sign up to help me reveal my book cover and create buzz about the release [which I really need and would be so grateful for], the signup opens on Aug 26th - this coming Monday.)

• I’m working on getting my ISNBS! And if Jamaica wasn’t so terrible with customer service I’d already have them but we move. (NLJ, count your days.)

• As soon as ISBNS are acquired, I’ll have the book added onto Goodreads so people can add it to their TBR, as well as I’ll be able to open preorders in time for the release push.

• I’m currently working with an artist to create character art of my main couple and I’m so excited to see how it turns out! The scene she’s drawing is from one of my favorite moments in the whole book!

• The character art will be used as part of a super cool preorder incentive that I’ll tell you about closer to the time!

• And I’ve overall been pumping out marketing content - 3 posts a day: a static post, and two reels. This also means I’ve been stressed out trying to make more and more content to keep up with this crazy posting schedule. It’s overwhelming, but there’s less than 3 months left to release so I’m trying to reach as many people as I can!

There are probably a couple of things I’ve left off this list out of sheer exhaustion. I’m tired and I know I’ll continue to be tired for a long time leading up to release. I’m excited, nervous, and hoping that imposter syndrome doesn’t kill me in the process.
