No, because I was supposed to send out a newsletter yesterday and I just….forgot???? Life is crazy right now and I’m stressssssssssedddddd.

What a time to be alive. There’s a little over two months left ‘till Until I Have Healed You goes live to the world! *insert screaming here*

Let’s do a run down of all the major updates in my publishing journey since last week’s email!

• I’ve finished my self edits & sent the manuscript over to my copyeditor, as well as a beta reader! This is actually a heartbreaking development and I’m trying not to think about it too much because it means that I’m one step closer to letting go of Haera & Theos’ story. As a writer, it’s like sending your baby off to college, except you’ll never speak to or see them again. Once you’re done writing these characters stories, your journey with them is literally just…over. It’s a pain that cannot be described even with all the words at my disposal. I will now weep.

• I’ve started working on designing things for the formatting of the physical copy - chapter headers, POV switch art, calendar (my fantasy world has a different calendar & time system from real world), etc.

• My Cover Reveal Team signups have been open and have been growing! These close tomorrow night at 11:59pm, so if you’re wanting to help me reveal the cover of my debut novel and create some excitement on socials, you can sign up here.

• The Cover Reveal for UIHHY is on September 4th! You’ll get to see the cover via my newsletter on Sept 4th, a couple minutes before the post on IG goes live because you guys are my besties! 🥳

• Character Art has been finished and I’ve already posted a tiny teaser on my Instagram, here. The full reveal of this character art is happening on September 9th, and I’ll be posting a couple more teasers on IG in the lead up to the big reveal! The artist did such a good job. I’m excited to share!

My next, and what feels like my most insurmountable obstacle, is creating the maps of the regions and kingdom for my story. I - I don’t even know where to start. Inkarnate seems to be the most accessible software for me right now, but it might not look great in B&W on paper, and commissioning maps from an artist are looking to be super expensive. I don’t yet have a solution. I also had a PR related disaster strike this morning.
