Last email I mentioned that I'd set myself a giant goal of writing four books this year. If you haven't seen the Instagram post I made describing all the books I plan to write this year, click here to see it!

So.... Let's break my plan down into bite sized pieces.

In order to write four books over the course of twelve months, it means that I can dedicate no more than three months to each book.

With that being established, we're currently in April (it’s literally the last day of April).

Which means...that the first quarter of the year is through, and I should have already written the first of the four books if I'm to be on track to meet the yearly goal of four books.

Well, WONDERFUL NEWS!

I finished my first book of this year on March 20th!

Let's talk word counts.

The novel ended up at 174k+ words.

I started the year with 52k+ words of that same novel already written. Know what that means?

I wrote 122k+ words in three months!

Next time we chat we'll be talking about writing burnout because...whew. It's real and active.
