Today we’re talking about Book Two of the LOTG trilogy, which features ✨Regos.✨

This book is already giving me a ton of anxiety if I’m honest, because of the nature of the kinks involved. Based on what Regos does in the end of Book One, (which readers will no doubt hate him and me for), there’s some graphic content in Book Two that will be…um…uncomfortable for a lot of people to read.

I’m pretty confident that there’ll be a lot of bad reviews when it gets into the hands of the wrong group of readers or people who don’t get it or people who misread the nature of the situation entirely, but that’s part of being an author.

Because if Book One (UIHHY) is a lot less offensive, and I was already formally advised not to publish it because of the graphic content and how it handles SA, I can’t even imagine what people’s reactions to Book Two will be. They’ll probably tell me to go hang myself.

All I can do is do my best to make the message clear. But once I release it, I can no longer police the interpretations it gets.

Still, though I know this, the anticipation of how poorly it’ll be received makes it excruciating to draft. It’s like the fear of the public response - even though it’s so far down the line, is holding me captive in the creative process. Honestly, I’m really struggling.

I haven’t figured out how to work through this just yet. Being a dark + taboo writer is really hard.
