New Releases
Rhythm Doctor (Windows, Mac)
Save lives with your spacebar!
Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game in a world where defibrillating patients' hearts in sync with their heartbeats has healing properties. Slam your spacebar in perfect time on the 7th beat, and they might just come out okay. But beware - every patient has unique illnesses based on complex music theory: polyrhythms, hemiolas, irregular time signatures...if you don't know what they mean, don't worry. Rhythm Doctor is designed to make you learn music and rhythm theory without even realising it!
- 20+ handmade levels, each with their own story.
- Every level introduces a different concept of rhythm theory in an accessible way
- A large cast of doctors and patients feature in an overarching, character-centric storyline
- Play the story solo or grab a friend for drop-in drop-out local multiplayer throughout the whole campaign!
- Robust level editor to make, share, and play community levels! Use your own music, place notes snapped to the beat, and use 50+ different visual effects and backgrounds
- Challenging "Night Shift" versions of each level for the brave
(Note: 2P mode only works locally. Online 2P via Remote Play is enabled for this game, but it does not work that well right now due to varying latency)
To enable the accessibility features, after purchasing the game you must bring up its properties in Steam (which can be done by right-clicking on the game in the library), and on the beta tab switching to the public beta branch. Then, menu narration can be turned on by pressing F8. More detailed patch notes from the developers follow:
Hello! We have two pieces of big news today Number one: We're officially moving our Accessibility features for Rhythm Doctor to the Public Beta Branch on Steam. There's no password or invitation needed, everyone can try it out! Version 0.19.0 is now on the Steam public beta. Please back up your save files, located within the game's install directory, before switching to beta branches. New feature: Narration Due to limitations of the Unity game engine, this is not true screen reader support. Interface navigation and context instruction messages had to be implemented manually, so there may be errors. - Windows: Supports NVDA through its controller client and Microsoft SAPI. - MacOS: Narration might function, but it may not follow system VoiceOver settings. - Linux: Not supported at all yet. For players - Press F8 to toggle narration on or off outside of the settings menu. - Implemented narration for navigating the main menu, level select, and custom levels menu. - Implemented context sensitive input instructions. Press F1 to hear these at any time. - Implemented audio cues and narrated text for patient status updates during gameplay. - Implemented optional scene descriptions for Story Mode day shift levels during gameplay. We'll write descriptions for night shift and collab levels at a later date. Descriptions are also not yet available in Japanese. For custom level creators - New event: Read Narration is a versatile event that can be used to send any text to narration. In story levels, it is most commonly used for scene descriptions. - New event: Narrate Row Info is useful for signalling many gameplay changes, such as a new patient arriving, or an existing patient's behaviour changing. - Floating Text and Show Status Sign have new toggle settings for narration. We recommend leaving these on in most cases. Exceptions include duplicate or unintentionally repeating messages, purely decorative ASCII art, etc. - Dialogue events will always be narrated automatically. These new events and functions will only run if the custom level's player has enabled narration in their settings, so don't hesitate to make use of them. In order to access these features, make sure you're on the proper Steam Branch. In your Steam Library, access Rhythm Doctor's "Properties" menu. Choose "Betas." Then, choose the branch titled "Beta - Public Beta Testing" from the Beta Participation Dropdown. As mentioned before, F8 will alow you to toggle narration audio on and off. The second piece of news is that, now that the Accessibility features are on the public beta, we will no longer be using the special Accessibility beta branch that we were using before for early testing. All new changes and improvements will be supported on the public beta, so please switch as soon as you're able.

Porta-Bop (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android)
Here is a simple but enjoyable game. Memorize basic commands, win every level, and unlock rewards for more challenges! Ready for some fun? Play it!
This game is inspired by an old bop it toy of mine. One night, I remembered that I now have the necessary tools to make a digital version of bop it, something I can enjoy on my phone during a car ride. In the process, I have decided to read the history of bop it, get inspirations from there, and add some ideas of my own. This is the result!
At the time of writing, the current version of this game is 1.0.
Rebirth Sim (iOS, Android)
Description by DRG:
Game description: This is a strategy turn-based game that combines roguelike building and text adventure simulation. You will customize your character and embark on an otherworldly journey! Make your choices, brave hero, and complete your one-of-a-kind adventure! Links: apps.apple.com/br/app/rebirth-s … 6747917349 play.google.com/store/apps/deta … usan.lucky This game is developed by the same awesome developer that made Joker Poker Texas Frenzy accessible for us. I've tested every screen and made so many suggestions to make sure that you will have a good experience. The game was inspired by Luck by a Landlord, but it has extra layers of complexity for you to discover. You start the game by choosing two talents that give you extra help for you to achieve your goals and pay the needed amount to advance. After choosing the talents, you start in the first year of your life. you have stats similar to a role playing game. the stats are: money, charisma, intelligence, spirit and strength. These stats are increased with the symbols that you can choose every year and if you manage to upgrade them to a high level you can receive extra symbols and items as well as extra coins to help you on your journey. But it's better to focus on the slot machine first. in the slot machine you have 20 spaces (5x4) to add symbols. they can interact with other symbols, add or destroy other symbols and give or take coins from you. Examples: if you choose the milk symbol and it lands close to a cat, the cat will drink the milk, destroying it and giving you coins for it. If you have a lockbox and add a key to the board and it lands close you will also open the lockbox, destroying it. your amount of coins is displayed at the bottom left. you can proceed to the next year using the next year button located at the bottom middle, and at the bottom right you can access your bag, allowing you to view your talents and total number of symbols. if you choose a symbol there you can view its description and if you have the required token you can remove it from the board. If you have more than 20 symbols, only 20 of them will be randomly placed on the 20 spaces available in the board. When you're asked to add a symbol you also have the opportunity to skip a symbol, or if you have a reroll token you can choose another one to increase your chances of winning. At the top of the screen you have the current story for the last year. it will change based on the theme of the game which you can choose when starting the game. your stats also allow you to choose different careers at certain stages. if you move your finger a little down at the top left you can also learn how many years are left for you to pay the needed amount to proceed to the next stage. in order to win the game you need to survive 100 years. The game is free with ads. I really recommend purchasing the ads removal to support this fantastic developer. the dlc screen will also allow you to unlock many new symbols and items, by watching an ad or by pressing the button if you have already paid for the ad removal. The game has music and sound effects. The game also has unlockable difficulty levels and achievements. I really hope that you have as much fun as I did when testing this addicting great game.
NVDA Reading Mod for Doki Doki Literature Club (Windows)
Hello everyone — today I’m sharing a game mod I wrote using GPT-5 that allows the Ren'Py version of Doki Doki Literature Club to use NVDA on your PC to read the game aloud. The original game doesn’t support toggling speech with the V key; after installing this mod you can call NVDA to read the game, and if NVDA isn’t detected it will fall back to the default (slow) SAPI voice. The game is available for free on Steam. Steam link: store.steampowered.com/app/6987 … ture_Club/ Mod link: drive.google.com/file/d/1aUt_eX … drive_link Please note the reading feature is enabled by default and there is currently no in-game way to turn it off; if you don’t want speech, simply delete the rpyc script file from the game. Usage instructions are included inside the mod files.
Escape from Crayonland (Windows)
Hi everyone, It is so wonderful to see that there is such a big community of blind players. I was not aware of that at all. As a young kid I used to play text-based adventures. I loved to immerse myself in a world and try out different commands to progress in the game. I recently got struck by a wave of nostalgia and wanted to play one of these games again. I downloaded one and started playing, just to find out that my eyes can not handle it anymore. It's hard for me to read and even though I really wanted to, I just gave up after a few minutes. But then I thought to myself, it's 2025, computers have come a long way since the nineties when I played such games. Why don't I just make something? So I did. I made an audio based adventure game engine that can run what are basically text based adventure games or choose your own path style books, but with no need to read anything and no need to write anything. The game narrates the story, and when it's time to select what you want to do, you simply speak and the engine (hopefully) understand your selection and continues! After I had the engine, more or less, I built a demo game that takes about half an hour to finish. It's called "Escape from Crayonland". It's built to run on Windows, and is designed from the ground up for full blind accessibility: I'm looking for people who are willing to try it out and provide me with honest feedback. If you’re interested, you can download it here: drive.google.com/file/d/1WE0lhx … sp=sharing It's a zip file, just open it and run Crayonland.exe I’d love to hear your thoughts so I can make future games even better for our community. Thanks for your time, and I hope you enjoy playing!
BROK: The Brawl Bar (Windows, other platforms coming soon)
BROK: The Brawl Bar is a wild party beat 'em up! Tackle crazy challenges, fight your way to the top of an underground bar, and make unexpected friends along the way. Brok, a former boxer turned detective, stumbles upon an underground bar hidden deep in the Slums. Old instincts kick in, and he jumps headfirst to prove he’s still top dog. Solo or with a friend in co-op, take on creative challenges inspired by "Event matches" of platform fighters, taken to the next level with original addictive mechanics and variety. In this gritty-yet-humorous bar, meet unforgettable characters and uncover surprises around every corner as the story unfolds. - 60+ varied challenges, with unique mechanics - 6 playable characters, each offering distinct abilities - Local co-op for up to 4 players - Creator mode: Build your own challenges and characters - Parsec: Supported for online co-op - Additional modes: Survival, Versus, Support, Daily and Bonus Challenges - Multiple difficulty levels - In-game achievements to unlock - Text available in English, French, Portuguese (Brazilian), Simplified and Traditional Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian and Spanish This explores new aspects of the BROK the InvestiGator fighting gameplay (expect 80% action and 20% adventure/visual novel) with an innovative and addictive approach to 2D beat 'em up action, providing hours of entertainment - and potentially infinite replayability! Controller or keyboard highly recommended. Mouse alone won't get you far here!
This is a standalone action game! You do not need to own the adventure BROK the InvestiGator, and you can enjoy it as your first experience in the BROK universe. If you did play the adventure game before, this standalone version will pick up your existing saves. Don't worry, you can pick "new game" or continue from any save file without losing progress from either game. Purchasing the game on itch.io also provides a Steam key for The Brawl Bar. Also, community items (challenges and character mods) can be manually installed in this version by downlading them and putting the files in: [Your Windows user folder]/AppData/Local/BrokGame/creation/ Check our Discord to find some of them! https://discord.gg/brok
Please note that while this standalone game/DLC includes all of the accessibility features known from the base game of Brok, some challenges were not optimized for blind players and may be more challenging.
The Rook (Web)
I threw something together that may interest people who enjoy a little detective work. I have a bad track record of making puzzles too difficult, so I'm posting this first puzzle to judge interest as well as help me see if I need to tweak the difficulty. This is Not intended to be easy, and I do encourage people to work together to solve it. Post your ideas on what clues mean and how they fit together, so people can inspire each other. Pretty standard web searching should be all you need, but the trick is knowing what to look for and how to recognize the important bits. This might be many of your first encounter with an "escape room" type puzzle, where one clue leads you to playing cards, and you only realize the answer is casino when a separate clue leads you to pyramid. I think it's very solvable, but it's always easier on the puzzle designer than the puzzle solvers. I will be quite impressed if/when you guys solve it, and if people enjoy it then I can expand it into more challenges. Good luck. www.kaldobsky.com/audiogames/Rook001.html
Audio Archer (Windows)
Audio Archer is intended to be a blind-accessible simple game based on archery.
Use the arrow keys to move your crosshairs over the target, hold the space bar to draw your bow and release the space bar to fire! You will only fire your bow when it's fully drawn, you'll hear a click to indicate this.
As you draw your bow, the tension makes your aim unsteady. The further the bow is drawn, the more unsteady your aim becomes. Use the arrow keys to try to steady your aim.
Your aim (crosshairs) starts in the lower left of the play area while you nock an arrow to your bowstring.
The target is centred in the play area.
The target is classic archery target comprising of two white outer rings, two black rings, two blue rings, two red rings and two gold centre rings. You score points from 1 to 10, 1 for hitting the outer white ring, 10 for the bullseye - the innermost gold ring. You have 30 arrows; the maximum score you can achieve is 300.
After each shot you'll hear how much the last arrow scored. To hear your total score press S. After you've shot all your arrows your final score will be read out. To hear how many arrows you have remaining, press A.
Using the audio radar to help you locate the target:
The audio radar beeps in the background. As your aim starts in the lower left of the screen, you'll hear the radar beep in your left ear with a lower pitch. If you move your aim up, the pitch will change to a higher pitch when you are vertically aligned with the centre of the target. The beep will change to an even higher pitch when you are above the centre. As you get nearer to the centre of the target the frequency of the beeps will increase.
You can increase the volume of the radar beeps anytime by pressing Q, decrease the volume by pressing Z.
The blindfold: If the game is played with more than one person at the same computer, a blindfold can be activated to ensure even gameplay between visually impaired, blind or sighted players. Press B to toggle the blindfold on and off.
To return to the title screen press ESC. To quit the game press ALT+F4 or press ESC from the title screen.
