Grand Prix Racing Online (Web)
Greetings Audiogames community, Iwain here, those of you who play TextSpaced may know me as one of its veteran players. This site was suggested to me to recommend screen reader accessible games, playable for us blind, and visually impared gamers.
Recently I was suggested to try out a free F1 manager game, Grand Prix Racing Online. I was very pleasently surprised after finding out, that the game is totally screen reader friendly, all I needed to do was switching to its old, so called "legacy interface" in its settings. Using this setting I haven't encountered a single screen reader issue yet, and since all the important options are located on a single page, navigation is extremely easy, either by tabbing or by arrowing. What matters even more: the races themselves are also very easy to follow, we need only to select the right viewer, race standingg, its current positions, changes, plus additional vital infos are displayed lap-by-lap, screen auto-refreshes each single lap, keeping the standing and infos constantly up to date. The game has a huge active playerbase, (many thousands of players usually online), no bots, but sheer player concurrency only, starting from rookie leagues up to masters level ones. It is an ideal game for casual players, for it doesn't requre frequent login, in fact usually, unles for communication reasons like forum activity, or driver/sponsor negotiation results), it is enough to log in on racedays only, (normally twice in a week), to calculate your strategy for the next race, then do the required 8 practice laps, followed by the 1st and 2nd qualification lap, which should be planned depending on the track, its data, infos, statistics, and, also very important, its weather prediction. Activities like driver training, testing laps, car repairs/upgrades can also be done anytime before next race starts. Then you can either follow and enjoy the race alive, or, if you miss it, replay it anytime you wish, either lap-by-lap, or view all the laps listed on a single page. This all may sound quite simple and easy, but the game is actually strategically very in depth and complex, especially the race preparation related calculations, calibrating the best possible allocation of your car's wings, engines, brakes, gear, and suspension involves lots of counting, (adding-retracting numbers from 0 to 999), plus estimating your fuel consumption, by counting out the planned amount of starting fuel, along with tyre type selection, these also require careful planning and brainwork. (these normally determine, how many pitstops your driver will make, so can often seriously impact your race result and final position) For these above mentioned calculations, in order to be as accurate and successful as possible, a usage of a calculator is highly recommended. In fact, right after reading the starting tutorial, asking for a mentor is also highly recommended for new players, both in order to become more familiar with these race preparations and calculations, and also for avoiding newbie mistakes, like wasting money in vain, risking bankruptcy, hiring a poor driver or training him wrong, choosing wrong tyres or instructions for your next race... (luckily I got a very experienced staff member as a mentor, so I made this last mentioned mistake only before my very 1st race) As mentioned, the game is totally free, although one can pay for a "supporter" status, but its benefits provide no significant game related advantages, nor affect player's performance. So F1 fans, those of you who won't mind some brainwork, including mostly planning and mathematical calculations, for a truely interesting racing experience, feel free to try Grand Prix (GP) Racing Online out!

(mine is 10, so if you are in 15 for example, simply replace 10 with 15)
Happy racing all interested, another new, 17 race long season is just starting!
snow chase (Windows, Android, Web)
Hello everyone, Today, I want to introduce a Chinese game called "Snow Chase." In fact, Christmas is already over, but I only managed to upload it to itch.io yesterday, haha. This is a short and simple game that tells the story of Lu Yi and his friend He Yan, who accidentally fall into a hole on their way to a comic convention and find themselves in a snowy labyrinth world. They transform into pixelated little animals and join other characters in a fun game of chase. Character Introduction: Lu Yi Age: 24 Haha, Lu Yi is me. He Yan Age: 12 A little girl with pink hair who absolutely loves desserts. She jumps with joy whenever there's a delicious treat around. She wears two star-shaped hair clips, enjoys drawing (her art style is super cute), loves detective novels and games, and is a fan of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She's also a big fan of Detective Hu's Legend. She came to know Lu Yi after seeing him, as a blind player, use accessibility plugins to play Detective Hu's Legend on a streaming platform. Rolling Ball, Cherry Hop, Cotton Candy Age: Unknown They are residents of the snowy labyrinth, portrayed as pixelated animals—a bear, a dog, and a rabbit respectively. Controls (Windows): After launching game.exe, press NVDA + Space to switch your screen reader to edit mode, then enable NVDA's dynamic area reading. Arrow keys or W/A/S/D: Move around, select menu options. Space/Enter/Z: Confirm, talk to NPCs. ESC/X: Go back or open the menu in the map. G: Open the camera. In Camera Mode: Arrow keys or W/A/S/D: Browse the map. Shift + Arrow Keys: Probe an area within a 15-coordinate radius around the camera. ESC: Reset the camera's position to the player's current location. Press ESC again to exit the camera. M: Read out the camera and player coordinates. Controls (Android): You’ll need to pause gesture-based touch navigation in your screen reader app but keep speech output enabled. Swipe on the upper half of the screen (up, down, left, right): Move around, select menu options. Tap the bottom-right area: Confirm, talk to NPCs. Tap the top-left area: Go back or open the menu on the map. Double-tap the upper half of the screen with two fingers: Open the camera. In Camera Mode: Swipe on the upper half of the screen (up, down, left, right): Browse the map. Hold the bottom-left area and swipe on the upper screen: Probe an area within a 15-coordinate radius. Tap the top-right area: Read out the camera and player coordinates. Tap the top-left area: Reset the camera's position to the player's current location. Tap again to exit the camera. For Mac Users: Unfortunately, I don't know how to package a Mac version for now, so Mac users can temporarily use the browser version available on itch.io. Getting Started: After starting the game, please go to "Settings" first and adjust the "Assistive Sound Effects" volume to 100 or to your desired level. Then, you're ready to start playing! Yes, this game was made using RPGMakerMV, so if you've used the Nine-Tailed Okitsune Tale Accessibility Patch or played my earlier recommended Detective Hu's Legend games, you should find this game quite familiar.
