Audiogames.net Monthly Digest - December 2025
Welcome to the last audiogames.net digest of 2025! It's crazy to think another year has gone by, but here we are, ending 2025 with a bang. If you thought we had a lot of releases last month, well, we did. But December was appropriately bigger, in all kinds of genres and platforms. If you thought a lot of games received accessibility mods, well, they did. But there were even more in December, including a few genre defining titles becoming accessible, and if chatter on the forums is anything to go by we might be carrying that momentum into 2026. This contrasts somewhat with the news section, which has some concerning information for racing game fans, but also some very exciting announcements for fans of rogue likes and computers. And of course we can't forget about updates!
Before we get to the cool stuff, I'd like to thank all of you for being with us and reading these digests, either on the forum or through email. Knowing there are people who wait for these every month is what keeps them going. And thank you to everyone doing their part in pushing blind friendly gaming forward. Whether you're contacting developers, making games or mods, or just finding cool things and spreading the word about them, without you we wouldn't have games to play and to write about! Have a wonderful 2026!

Christmas dash (Windows, Linux)
Oh no! Santa's fallen ill, and his sleigh is out of commission. With Christmas Eve upon us, someone needs to deliver the presents, and that someone is you.
You've been elected to deliver presents on foot. No other elf wishes to help. Why would they? They'd rather stay warm in the workshop making toys than run errands through the freezing snow. They'll leave that to you.
Your mission: run from house to house unnoticed, slip down chimneys, and place presents under Christmas trees, all without being seen. If word spreads that it's not Santa making deliveries this year, it's all over. The magic of Christmas depends on your stealth!
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Accessibility Mod (Windows)
Okay, everyone! I'm thrilled to announce the release of a comprehensive screen reader accessibility mod for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, making this beloved visual novel / adventure game series fully playable for blind and visually impaired players. About the Game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy bundles the first three games in Capcom's legendary courtroom drama series: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations. You play as rookie defense attorney Phoenix Wright, investigating crime scenes, gathering evidence, and defending your clients in intense courtroom battles. The trilogy features memorable characters, clever writing, and satisfying mysteries that have earned the series a devoted following since its original release on the Game Boy Advance in 2001. What This Mod Does The mod outputs all game text directly to your screen reader via the UniversalSpeech library. If you don't have a screen reader installed, it falls back to SAPI for speech output. Every aspect of the game is covered - from dialogue and menus to the various investigation minigames and courtroom mechanics. Features The mod provides complete accessibility for all three games in the collection. Dialogue is fully output with character name announcements, so you always know who's speaking. All menus and UI elements provide navigation feedback, and the court record (evidence and profiles) is fully accessible with detailed descriptions for every piece of evidence. Investigation mode includes hotspot navigation using bracket keys, with the ability to jump directly to unexamined hotspots. During trials, you'll receive life gauge announcements so you always know where you stand. Every minigame has been made accessible: luminol spray blood detection, fingerprint dusting, 3D evidence examination, the infamous vase puzzle, the dying message connect-the-dots, bug sweeper, and video tape examination. The orchestra mode (soundtrack browser) is also fully accessible. Psyche-Lock sequences in Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations work with full feedback. Technical Details The mod uses UniversalSpeech for broad screen reader compatibility. If no screen reader is detected, the mod falls back to Windows SAPI. Important: Version Support This mod only supports the official Steam version of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. Other versions (including those from less legitimate sources) aren't guaranteed to work correctly. The mod has been developed and tested exclusively against the Steam release. Installation The mod offers two installation methods. An automatic installer is included with each release - simply download and run the executable, and it will handle everything for you. For those who prefer manual installation, a zip file is also provided with step-by-step instructions. The mod requires MelonLoader. If you're using the automated installer, it will also handle the MelonLoader installation for you. Keyboard Shortcuts F5 - Hot-reload config files R - Repeat last output I - Announce current state/context [ and ] - Navigate items (hotspots, evidence, targets, etc.) U - Jump to next unexamined hotspot (investigation) H - Context-sensitive: list hotspots, get hints, or announce life gauge F1 - Announce controls help (orchestra mode) Translations The mod currently includes English and Chinese translations. If you'd like to help translate the mod into other languages, translation guidelines are available in the repository. Tiny bunny accessibility patch (Windows)
Hey everyone, A visual novel called tiny bunny has an unofficial accessibility mod. I thought I'll share it here since I don't think tiny bunny fans here know it exists. The mod makes all choices, objects in exploration mode and other UI elements read, there are also keyboard shortcuts like q for lowering the volume during loud parts so you can hear your screenreader or e which would make your screenreader repeat the last line, so you no longer have to wait until characters stop speaking before you can read subtitles. It also makes all minigames accessible like shooting the duck etc, so you can unlock everything on your own. I'm not the author of this mod, Saikono studios have kindly sent it to me after I e-mailed them about accessibility issues. They said they'll implement accessibility improvements after they finish fixing episode 5. For now, the patch is not bundled with the game because it was made by a 3rd party, read tiny bunny fans. I'm not good at writing descriptions, so you can just read about this awesome vn on steam, it's 25 percent off when I'm writing this: store.steampowered.com/app/1421250/Tiny_Bunny/ I'm not a creator of the accessibility mod, but I'm sharing it on my personal one drive, and will keep it there forever since I got the file as an attachment in Saikono studio's reply. Here's the link: 1drv.ms/u/c/dd4ce8912253d39d/IQ … Q?e=TVAeVh You just need to put this .rpy file into 'game' folder inside Tiny Bunny's Steam folder and restart the game. Enjoy!
And the game description from Steam:
Tiny Bunny Is A Non-linear Horror Visual Novel. We're planning to release the game as 5 episodes; Four of them are already out for you to enjoy.
Everything falls into slumber when winter comes, but not this forest.
There's something wandering its snow-covered paths, lurking behind black trees, and taking whatever it considers due.
It leaves behind bizarre rumors of voices, calling you into the thicket, of faces, looking into your windows, of mysterious prints in the snow and... a bunch of "child missing" posters.
Those, who have heard the voice of the forest, are beyond help. Their only option is to sink deeper and deeper into the cold embrace of horror to face their final choice in that icy darkness: to stay alive or to stay human?
"Tiny Bunny" is a horror visual novel with a branching plot based on the short story of the same name by Dmitry Mordas. It takes place in a quiet, unremarkable village lost among the Siberian forest. Children start to go missing there, and the protagonist, a sixth-grader, who had recently moved there with his family, is immediately forced to witness and participate in a chain of unsettling events.
We plan to release the game as five episodes. Four of them are already available for you to play. Feel free to experience episodes ONE, TWO, THREE, and FOUR.
- A fascinating horror story that will remain in your memory for a long time.
- Every choice you make affects the story.
- Stylish graphics made in black& white.
- Original scary soundtrack will pierce you to the bones.
- Disturbing, oppressive atmosphere.
- Horrifying secrets.

Invade the Pines, a Beat Em Up based on Streets of Rage (Windows)
This game started out as a test prototype I was making for fun, then it became a simple sidescroller and now... It's my first non-text, audio game. Features: 10 levels taking place in different areas, based on the story. Start out as a novis boxer and work your way up to being a champion! How do you do this, you ask? Use the upgrades shop, which you can access after beating each level. In the shop you can purchase weapons, items and special abilities based on real martial arts. 2 difficulty levels, General Math and Calculus. And it wouldn't be based on Streets of Rage without an actual SoR MOD right? Story: After Adam Hunter's mission had been completed in the Streets of Rage games, he thought life wouldn't involve more fighting and world peace could be restored. He was right, sort of. World peace might be restored where Streets of Rage is—this developer doesn't know. But over here, something worse than Streets of Rage is happening and the only person who can deal with it is... Adam Hunter! The author who created this game made Adam much younger, and he starts out as a beginner boxer. What's the story, you ask? Trevor Pine (the sighted gamer who hates the blind community) is working with a right-hand man to make his brother's life as depressing as possible. Minor spoiler: there are no sad scenes in this game. At 6:00 AM, Adam Hunter gets a phone call from his assistant asking him to go on this mission and stop Trevor Pine. Sounds boring, you say? Play to find out—it's not as boring as you think! Download the game: drive.google.com/file/d/1Lr9QKD … sp=sharing And as of now, download the Streets of Rage MOD: drive.google.com/file/d/12qEygL … sp=sharing How to use the MOD, just extract the .wav files and replace the files in the Sounds folder with all the files in the .zip. Known bugs: some bosses don't play attack sounds properly, especially the final boss. Also, sometimes your character's sounds will come out of the left or right speaker. It's an AI issue, we're working on it.
Axel Pong (Windows, iOS)
Axel Pong is a pong clone (surprising I know!) created by the developer because he enjoyed playing dragon pong but couldn't always find another person to play against. There are 2 versions of the game that can play against each other: a Windows version which can be downloaded here, and an iOS version which can be purchased for about $3 on the app store or tested through testflight for free here. The game supports both local play against bots as well as multiplayer, though like in the case of dragon pong you will need to forward ports or be in a local network or a VPN like tailscale with the person you want to play against. The bots have a few difficulty levels, you can set the game length from 8 to 21 points, though there's also a table tennis/showdown style advantage system where the winning player needs at least a 2-point difference to win so games can take longer than that if there's a draw. There are also graphics, at least on the mobile version, and this is something where the developer is asking for feedback. He had reports of the ball sometimes clipping into the paddle, but the person describing this couldn't give a good description of what was happening and when, so if anyone has enough vision or can convince a sighted person to play this, that could be helpful. While on the topic of the iOS version, it currently comes up in Polish regardless of your system language, This will be fixed in the next update which should come out after christmas/new year break when the dev can get access to their computer again, so some time in January. The language can be changed by pressing the "zmień język" button in the main menu. You might also notice that the sounds currently used could be better, especially for a commercial project. I was brought on to do completely new audio for both the Windows and iOS version and this will also be addressed in the upcoming update. I don't think we've had an iOS pong game that works well on modern iOS, let alone one with a multiplayer feature, so I think at least a few people should get some enjoyment out of this one. Have fun!

Adventure To Fate: Dungeons (iOS)
Adventure To Fate: Dungeons is the latest title in the Adventure To Fate series! Dungeons takes a new direction towards a full roguelike experience while also improving on accessibility and making the overall experience as immersive as possible. iOS App Store Link: apps.apple.com/us/app/adventure … 6743055907
History: The Adventure to Fate Series has been running for 14 years, and this is the 7th game in the series. For those who don't know, this series was basically born here on the audiogames.net forums. I was contacted by a member by email about 13 years ago after I had launched my first game, and they explained the game was almost playable, and with a few fixes, it could be. At the time, accessibility wasn't even on my radar, but when they explained how they found my game (basically downloading game after game and trying it out) and that there wasn't really anything like it for this forum to play I decided to take a shot and make the changes. From there the game caught on, and the ability for me to turn this game into a series was born. Since then, it's been my goal to not just make an accessible game but to make this an immersive experience. For those of you who have played the previous games, this one is quite a bit different. While most of the core systems stay the same (so there isn't much to relearn), the gameplay itself varies drastically. This is a more straightforward action-packed action packed Adventure. Instead of playing a whole story adventure, you are playing shorter dungeon runs, which are unique every play-through (different enemies, bosses, skills, and loot!). There is also a large account-bound quest system with progression unlocks so replayability is unlimited and rewarded. To show all the previous players the new features, I wrote a 30 days of new features on my upcoming post found here: forum.audiogames.net/topic/5729 … ming-soon/
About The Game: Descend into the dungeon with multiple classes, races, and spirit party members to help you along the way. With 3 dungeons and 4 play modes each, there is unlimited replayability. With over 900 skills and thousands of handcrafted items, you'll always have a unique playthrough. Read about your friends' victories or final breaths in global in-game leaderboards. All while being a premium (cost $4.99) with no ads, no IAP currency, and a portrait (easy to hold) offline game. The game was built with the help and input of a large community of Voiceover users/experts. (Thanks to the users on the ATF discord page and on the audiogames.net forums that helped shape the game) Game Link: apps.apple.com/us/app/adventure … 6743055907 A few quotes from VoiceOver Players: "Dungeons is a masterpiece. Truly, one of the best games I've ever played in the accessible community. Every dungeon, every character is truly unique, and there are various play modes, which will keep the game interesting for hours and hours. Fully voiceover accessible can genuinely be played from start to finishwithout needing eyesight. Thank you to the developer for caring for everyone and including all of us in this epic adventure.." - Dr. Greenthumb App Store "...just wanted to say this is my fav roguelike I’ve played in a while, loving it so far! Thief has been my favorite to play as" - TY discord "Congratulations on the game success. You truly deserve to be celebrated. Thanks for making an amazing game that we can all enjoy." - Aaron discord

Open Beta of PokemonFanGame, a text based Browser game
Hi all, welcome to PokemonFanGame.com, a newly created text based online pokemon game by Nonvisiongames. In PokemonFanGame you start as a newly annointed Pokemon Trainer inside the Kanto Region who has just received their first pokemon and is ready to embark on their adventure. PokemonFanGame is inspired by the Pokemon Games of old, starting with the first region Kanto, based upon Pokemon Red, Blue and yellow. The world presented to you consists of 300+ text based rooms, with short and to the point descriptions. You move around the world by pressing the respective Go North, Go East, Go West and Go South Buttons and soon start to develop a feel for the area you play in. All areas, like Route 22, Underground Path, the cities and the like are constructed in individual rooms, that make up these area's. Each building, is one of these so called text based rooms with an exit leading back into the area outside. Wild pokemon encounters or encounters with trainers are manual based. They won't be automatically triggered. When ever you are inside an area that supports wild pokemon, you'll need to press the Search in Grass button to search for wild Pokemon. When ever you encounter a battle (npc name) button, you will need to press this button to trigger the battle against a npc trainer. Which of the battles you will be fighting, it will be fought inside our advanced battle engine, that supports all rules of the Pokémon Battles, and supports stat changes, or more advanced moves like mud sport, water sport, fore sight, reflect etc, but also the more brutal moves like selfdestruct or explosion! Our version of the kanto region, most of the regions we did redesign to put our own stamp upon it, is populated by all 151 pokemon, with an odd maril showing up every now and again, and by hundreds of npc's willing to speak to you, or do battle against you. The more unique aspect in our npc battle system is that all npc's do have a cooldown timer, which means that when ever this cooldown timer is expired, you will be able to fight the npc trainer again. To be more precise, each npc trainer has it's own timer. So when you beat up one, you can move on with other npc trainers, and when you're done the cooldown timer of the first one you did challenge is probably almost expired. All 151 Pokémon inside our world can be trained up to level 100. Can be evolved till their final state, wheter a pokemon requires a certain level, an evolution stone or a trade to another player to trigger it, PokemonFanGame has got you covered. Also the learning of moves is taken care off. All moves of all 151 pokemon are inside our daatabase and await the correct level to be able to get thaught. Whenever a pokemon has less then 4 moves, it will be automatically learned. When your pokemon has 4 moves, a nice learn attack screen will show up and allow you to select the move you want your pokemon to forget. To keep track of your progress of capturing them all, we did create a pokedex, which is able to be set to 4 filters, namely: - Standard View, all pokemon and unknown pokemon will be showed, - Seen Pokémon, filter all the seen pokemon you have seen, either in the wild or against npc trainers, - caught pokemon, filter to all the pokemon you own, - unknown, filter to all unknown pokemon. Click on each unknown lable to see which ones you still miss. During your hunt to get them all, you soon will discover you can't carrie all pokemon with you. Therefore PokemonFanGame has a pc system. In which you can store all pokemon you don't want to carrie with you. But when you start hoarding pokemon, overviews can become quite confusing. This is why each player for now can own 25 boxes, each box can hold up to 30 pokemon. Easy for the easy view, and good for our database don't you think? :) All jokes aside, you can create new boxes, rename them or delete them when a box is empty. While leveling up your pokemon and teaching them new moves you always can hit a snag, of the kind: "Won't it be cool when my ivysaur owns mega drain", for example. PokémonFanGame has got you covered. We have a fully stocked Tm Shop available. In this shop you can spend your hard earned PokeMoney to buy a few tm's. These tm's can be used via your bag and can teach your pokemon some cool moves. Keep in mind though, a squirtle can't learn mega drain, and a charmander no water pulse. Capturing and training pokemon isn't the only fun though. To be a real champion you need to take on the gym challenge. While you start your adventure inside your bedroom in Pallet Town, you'll be needing to travel far from your familiar bed to challenge all 8 gyms. This way you will be allowed entrance into the Pokémon League enabling you to beat the champion and become champion yourself! PokemonFanGame currently only supports the kanto region. But when this one is well underway we will start working on the Johto region, and the other regions. By beating the pokemon League in one region, will grand you access to the next region, so if you beat the Kanto League, you'll be granted access to Johto, when you beat the Johto League, you'll be granted access to Hoenn and so on. When you play in Johto, you will be able to travel back to Kanto, but someone not having beaten the Kanto League won't be able to travel to Johto. The plan is when you arrive inside a new region for the first time your party will be stored inside your boxes, and you'll be able to choose a new starter from that region. No worries, your pokemon won't be deleted or inaccessible. When you get access to a pc in the new region you can easely withdraw your dream team and beat the hell out of the trainers in Johto. If that's your strategy of course. every now and again there will be events held. The current events we have under our fingertips are: - Experience Runs, this is an event that usually takes a span of 72 hours. The first 24 hours will be used to gather experience as community. Each battle a player fights, wheter it to be against wild pokemon, npc-trainers, gym leaders and such, and earns experience will also contribute to a community bank. When i beat a caterpie in viridian forest and my pokemon earns 33 experience, these 33 experience will also be added to the community bank working effectively to our community goal. After this 24 hours, a period of 48 hours will start in which the percentage of the community goal will be awarded to the community. Let me explain. When the goal in the first 24 hours was 50.000 experience and the community gathered 45.000 experience, the 48 hours will be marked by 90% bonus experience in each battle you fight. Effectively speeding up your training quite a deal right? - Legendary Hunts, when we are well underway in our world, we will announce weekends in which legendary pokemon will show up random on the map for 30 or 60 minutes at a time multiple times during the weekend. During this weekend players can travel to the announced locations and attempt capturing the legendary pokemon. These legendary pokeon will be limited by the region they'ry belong in.. All events will be announced ahead of schedule of course so no one will miss out. PokemonFanGame is currently in an open beta state. I have been working on this project for months on end and i think the game is stable enough to allow players inside. This way i would like to gather feedback to determine the next course of development of this game. I am also very curious on what's needing improvement and in what the platform excels. If there are of course any questions, be sure to let me know, i'll be happy to help. I realised my first introductory text was very short, not to many information, that's why i take the time now to expand my introductoy message and detailing more of the game. What is PokemonFanGame currently, summary: - A world currently containing only the Kanto Region, our modified version, build from 300+ text based rooms, - open world navigational structure, - 151 pokemon, including evolutions, wheter it to be levels, stones or trading, - hundreds of npc's, - All pokemon can learn their movesets up till level 100, - Advanced battle engine, supporting all attacks, stat changes, unique moves etc, - 8 gyms, elite 4 and champion, - quests, currently only main ones, side quests can be easely added, - frameworks for periodical events, like experience bonusses and legendary hunts, - fully usable tm system, - expanded pokedex system, - all pokemon are obtainable, no pay to win! - 100% Blind accessible. It's basically a mini game, where you have to go around a map, catching as much coins as you can, while avoiding obsticles like bombs, rocks, and pits. Meanwhile, sports arena is an action packed game where you can play different sports games, like bowling, golf, and boxing. Here's the link where you can download catch the coins. ramoproductions.itch.io/catch-the-coins Here's where you can download sports arena. ramoproductions.itch.io/sports-arena I hope you guys will enjoy my game projects, and I would like to get your feedback.
Game Updates
- Remagotchi received a few updates adding more content including new types of pets, as well as accessibility improvements making the interface much more responsive with screen readers.
- Rhythm Doctor is the third game this digest to get a full version release, which fills in the missing act 6 levels and introduces audio description in the nightshift levels which were previously missing it. As a result of the game exiting early access you no longer have to switch to a special Beta version for accessibility, simply download the game from Steam and press F8 once it launches to enable narration.
- Speaking of games that left beta status, this is also the case for Magic Artist, a game which we covered back in October. It's now widely available both for Android on Google play and iOS in the App Store.
- Alter Aeon December updates feature the return of the solstice event, running until January 4th. On a less seasonal note the major ship overhaul is now live with various ship types that can be customized for trading or resource gathering. Speaking of trading, it's governed by a complex pricing system with each port offering different buy and sell prices for goods which can fluctuate as you ferry cargo around. Finally, the warrior combo system has been expanded with many new combo options.
- Sonar Islands is back with a new island — The abyss. Set underwater where your compass doesn't work, there's treasure to be collected. Would you rather take your chances avoiding the motorboats on the surface, or the fish by diving underwater?
- Terraria Access had 2 major updates in December. Version 0.1.6 focused on the new player experience, with the character creation screen no longer requiring OCR to use, as well as detailed audio description for each clothing and hairstyle. The second major new feature is build mode, which makes constructing things much easier. There are many other smaller improvements, including announcing the targets as they're locked onto, improvements to the guidance system and much more. There is now a new showcase/introduction video recorded by the developers, so if you've been thinking about giving Terraria a try now is an excellent time. This is especially true because of version 0.1.7, released on Christmas, which introduced full keyboard support, more guidance improvements including a dropped item scanner and the system interacting with the game's lighting, accessibility for the mod workshop and much more. The download now also includes easy to read documentation in HTML format.
- Minecraft access 1.12 Alpha
- Blind Survival received a big content update, adding a new optional story section, as well as a new hard mode with less ammo, more aggressive zombies and harder to navigate maps. Plus, there are other smaller improvements like a control reference in the pause menu and new sounds for earning achievements and navigating menus.
- Hearthstone 34.2 marked the start of Battlegrounds season 12, featuring a new timewarp tavern mechanic, letting you buy stronger versions of minions, buddies or even hero powers. The update also features the usual batch of tweaks to standard hearthstone
- Transport World Simulator received a Christmas update with bug fixes and new sounds for modded vehicles
- TableEx 2.0 now includes a table saving feature as well as various bug fixes for some games
- SimpleFighter now includes a critical hit mechanic for the enemies, received updated sounds, and includes a few other small fixes
- Hitster received a major content update with over 400 new hits, a new browse feature, as well as the ability to add your own hits to the game.
Other news
- Following the massive layoffs at Microsoft's gaming division which we covered back in August, the majority of Turn Ten Studios, the developers of Forza Motorsport were let go, with the understanding that the only remaining employees are engine developers, now assisting Playground games in the development of Forza Horizon 6. This was all but confirmed now, with the 2025 year wrap up blog post including a quiet announcement Forza would no longer be receiving any updates.
- Dawncaster, the acclaimed fully accessible mobile roguelike card game is coming to PC and Mac through Steam in February. The game will cost $20 and include all content released as DLC in the mobile version, and you will be able to keep all unlocks and progression between the 2 versions (with the mobile version already receiving an option to sign into a Unity Cloud account to facilitate this.) The developers have also confirmed the desktop version will be completely accessible supporting play both by keyboard and controller. If you want to be notified when the game will be available and also help spreading the word, you can wishlist it on Steam here.
