I got a 4-book publishing deal for Community Witch!
Exciting news!
Last week I signed a 4-book publishing deal for Community Witch with Varus Publishing!
After being rejected by 70+ agents and 20+ publishers I'd didn't think it would happen - especially after I got an offer from another publisher that was rescinded because I'd gotten "too far" with indie publishing. But Varus was open to backlist submissions, so... here we are! Community Witch will be rereleased in February, and the sequels will be released on a fairly aggressive schedule that will see Book 4 out February of 2027.
Of course, as delightful as this news is, it does create a few problems…
Problem The First: my chapter release schedule.
This has thrown my Patreon / Subscribestar release schedule into utter chaos. Instead of having 3 projects to post chapters of, I now have 1.
Problem the Second - having to prioritize Community Witch means deprioritizing other things.
I had just finished going through beta feedback on Bride-King and started in on actual rewrites when I signed the deal. The aggressive release schedule means I’ve got 9 months to finish Book 3 (which I’m about to send out to beta readers) and 14 to write and finish Book 4 (currently just an outline).
Problem the Third: Patreon / Subscribestar content will be... weirder, hornier, and less frequent.
For now, chapters of Enemies to Enemies will continue to release on the same schedule as before. I've do have a series of 4 linked erotica novellas outlined, the first of which is about half-written, all of which can be described as 'horny alien shapeshifter porn with lots of trans feelings'. I'm honestly not sure how quickly I'll be able to get chapters of that out.
