The Bottom Line

Men: Arsenal are out of the Carabao Cup, beaten 5-3 on penalties by League Two Fleetwood after Gyokeres cancelled out Aaron Loupalo-Bi's opener. Max Dowman was sent off for violent conduct and will serve the ban in the Premier League. Rice, Calafiori and Madueke all missed the tie injured, and a drone held play up for eight minutes.

Women and Academy: Arsenal Women host Benfica at Meadow Park on Wednesday in the Champions League, with Slegers expecting a compact side Arsenal beat 2-0 away last season. The Under-21s came from behind to beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1, Emerson Nwaneri scoring an 87th-minute winner to reach the EFL Trophy knockout stages.

Arteta criticised for his reaction to Dowman's red card

Rice, Calafiori and Madueke all missed the tie injured

Arteta said Rice had been feeling a problem that forced his substitution, Calafiori was out and Madueke has an ankle injury. None of the three has been ruled in or out of Sunday's trip to Liverpool.
