Scan clears Martin Odegaard of major ankle damage

Norway's team doctor found no major damage in scans on the ankle Odegaard hurt against Portugal on Sunday, and assistant coach Brede Hangeland says the pain is easing. He did not train on Tuesday and remains a doubt to face Wales.

Manchester City to appeal after being found guilty on 114 of 115 charges

City have until 2 October to lodge the appeal and say the ruling contains clear material errors of law, principle and fact. The Premier League will set sanctions at a separate hearing, with fines, points deductions and stripped titles reported as options.

Gyokeres plays down blood-stained socks after Sweden's win

Gyokeres left the Poland game with blood on both socks and shrugged off suggestions he had been stamped on, saying he had not raised it with the referee. Graham Potter said he is available for Sweden's remaining fixtures.

Internationals: Bruno scores for Brazil, Merino assists in Spain's win

Bruno Guimaraes scored his fourth international goal in the 69th minute as Brazil beat Australia 4-2 in Brisbane. Mikel Merino came on and set up Nico Williams in Spain's 4-1 Nations League win over Croatia.

Bournemouth will not sell Alex Scott in January, with Arsenal among interested clubs

Bournemouth have told interested clubs they will not discuss a move until their league objectives are settled. Scott, 23, is reported to have interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, and enters the final 18 months of his contract in January.

Arsenal throw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Paris FC

Alessia Russo and Georgia Stanway put Arsenal 2-0 up in the Champions League before Clara Mateo replied for Paris. Maeline Mendy then equalised from an 87th minute penalty after Leah Williamson handled a ball her goalkeeper had rolled to her for a goal kick.

Slegers did not attend the post-match press conference in Paris

Renee Slegers was understood to be too furious to face the media after the draw, and assistant coach Aaron D'Antino spoke instead. D'Antino said Arsenal did not accept that it was a penalty.

Arsenal Women score twice in a match for the first time this season

Russo's first goal of the campaign and Stanway's second-half strike ended a run of three goals in Arsenal's opening five matches. Slegers had said before the game that the goals would come.

Andre Harriman-Annous makes his England Under-20s debut

The 18 year old was added from the standby list after an injury to West Brom's Jimmy Jay Morgan, then came off the bench in a 2-1 win over France for his first appearance at the level.
