The Summer of our (my) discontent
Updates
A short one this week as summer is beginning to bloom here in the UK and I am, of course, suffering from the worst bout of cold and flu. Because why not?
But it’s not all bad…
The Mitch Hammer #2 Kickstarter campaign is live!
Mitch Hammer is written by Chris Lewis, with art by Fernando Pinto, colours by K. Michael Russell, letters by Marco Della Verde and is edited by yours truly.
For those needing a refresher, the previous campaign for Issue #1 was successful back in October:
“MITCH HAMMER issue #1 (of 3) introduces us to the titular construction worker, who wants to go home and have a beer after a long day of work. He’ll have to wait for his barley pop, though, when the local community college is attacked by C.L.O.T., the militant wing of the National Blood Clot Association. Together with his best buddy Jorge and the brilliant graduate student Katie, it’s up to Mitch to save the students from science gone wrong.”
Mitch Hammer #2 continues this tradition of zaniness and clicking through to the Kickstarter page will not only give you a preview of the first few pages of the latest issue, but you’ll also be able to take in those awesome reward levels. $5, for example, gets you both issues digitally – a steal!
Speaking of Kickstarter, I held a physical copy of the Metropo book this week and the book came out really well. It looks {and feels) fantastic and I’m really proud about how it came out. Amazing work by all involved. Backers of the Kickstarter campaign who went with the physical copies should be receiving theirs soon.
