For the last month I have been working mainly on sqlpkg-cli — the (unofficial) SQLite package manager. I've blogged about some of the improvements:
Now I'm pretty happy with the core features. I'm planning to write an article about the package manager design and implementation details, so it will probably be in the next newsletter issue.
I've also updated the How to install an extension SQLite guide. Tried to include precise instructions for:
- Downloading manually and using the package manager.
- Installing an extension in the shell, IDE, Python, JavaScript and Go.
Finally, I did some quick research on a "better C" language. The best candidates seem to be Zig and Odin, and I've written a short introduction to the latter.
