Magnets are involved

Feeling refreshed?

This cheese is on fire

I spent last weekend and the first part of the week in Chicago, where I spoke at DrupalCon. My talk was a joint session with two colleagues about the ongoing redesign refresh of our flagship site, and it was well-attended and well-received. My co-speakers were zooming in from Boston, and I’m still astonished that the tech didn’t abandon us right in the middle of it.

I hadn’t been to Chicago since 2014, and it was fun to be back. One glorious springlike Saturday, great food (including that flaming saganaki), and my first sip of Malört, which wasn’t too bad. (I have critical notes about the Hilton, but I’ll leave those for my official review.)

I signed up for Letterbox. Send help.

  • The old internet is still here

A different perspective on the damaged caused by social media, slop machines, and tech fuckery in general.

I love every bit of this.

  • How to do the work (when the work has become impossible)

Mike Monteiro trying (and probably failing) to stay positive.

  • Dogs are not actually agents of chaos, apparently

Magnets are involved. The rest is a surprise.

  • A Japanese glossary of chopsticks faux pas

Etiquette is largely bullshit, regardless of cultural context.

  • Got a second?

    Give me a hand, please.
