This month’s issue, in situ down the shops.

Greetings, paper punks. Another Subculture’s issue for March 2026 is out now.

The listings are online and making their way around the usual spots around the capital this week, and subscribers’ copies are in the post and should be on your doormats and stuck on your fridge by now.

As always, I have compiled over 50 punk + hardcore + D-I-Y + experimental + radikal + ??? gigs, club nights, associated film screenings, talks and workshops that should give you, yes, a boing in your step as we emerge from winter and into whatever the hell the world is supposed to be right now. Bursting with war?

On the front: Middleman

This month’s cover stars celebrated their new album, independently produced and released, at the George Tavern last month - Middleman have been rocking for a little while now and their debut LP Following the Ghost is no exception.

On the back: First Timers, Gimic, Midnight Mines

Get the paper for a chat with the First Timers collective about how things stand as 2026’s roster take shape, prepare their first songs, work out some on-stage banter and realise that making music is rewarding, deafening, a thankless task and worth it anyway.

Photos on the back also include Bristol stalwarts Gimic and, amongst <3’s organic stagecraft, evidence of a Midnight Mines set that may have set the PA alight.

A new stockist: the free Zinebox outside Toad Bakery!

Get this email every month and find out when more paper, and more gigs, happen: subscribe now.

This month, my plan involves interviewing fellow travelers, making something for a zine fair on the horizon, and making the Another Subculture website a little more useful. There will also be some merchandise again, because why not. Badges first, no more tote bags: my guarantee to you!

If you have an event that fits the paper, and you want to get it in April’s issue, please send all the details before Friday 20th March to guarantee inclusion: the form is here.

And that will do for now. Welcome home, Ola; free Palestine; world peace can be done (please).
