OCTOBER listings right now, ANOTHER SUBCULTURE IS 10 lineup announcement
Hello, paper punks. October's listings are on-line, in the post for Patreon people, and getting out and about in the coming days. A slight printing error and a vague Halloween theme in honour of Michael Parkinson, why not? (Ghostwatch, it's a lot of fun.)
As ever, I'm very grateful for the patronage - as you can see it's getting substantial and once again wondering about the best way to encourage some volunteers to get the paper in shops and spaces. Almost gave one to someone on the tube last night because he had a big Kleenex badge on and everything too. Should I have? If you're up for distributing or just know a good place to strategically litter, I'll happily send you a stack for your shop, venue, cafe, telegraph post, whatever works! The next few months of AS are thus: work has finally begun on Alternative Strategies #4. Expect a fair bit about Static Shock Weekend and the best roster of contributors yet. Got a convenient deadline too...
Another Subculture is 10 on Friday 24th & Saturday 25th November, and look who's playing:
One night in Spanners (Brixton's best railway arch), one day in The Ivy House (Nunhead and maybe south London's greatest community pub/ballroom combination), there will be 14 bands from across UK DIY and you're all invited. Full poster and tickets will go live on Friday 6th October. can't wait to see you there (I will be quite busy), thrilled with the lineup, it is not a fest.
Right, that is me for the month. Get your November events in as there's always a few that slip through (I do tend to add these to the online PDF, mind you!) Was thinking I might do a livestream and show how you can make your own listings as well, would anyone be up for that? Anyway, wrap up, get a booster/flu shot if you can, get to the gig - - B P / A S
