ATTEMPTING SOMETHING - day tickets out now - weekend tickets until 30/09
Hello, paper punks. Some updates on this weekend of gigs and nonsense that we’ve been rustling together: there’s more bands playing across the weekend, day tickets are on sale and you’ve got a little longer to save a few quid…
We’re breaking down the weekend into three days and nights - in Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark - here’s our planned mixture:
On Thursday 21st November at Spanners: MEGZBOW & VINEGAR TOM, NO HOME and FISCAL HARM. (Plus one?) - ease into the weekend with some saxophone, paens to late capitalism and pastoral noise. £10/5, 7-11pm.
» BUY THURSDAY TICKETS HERE «On Friday 22nd November at Avalon Cafe: GIMIC, GAMMA, RITUAL ERROR, DEAD NAME, SUBLUX and RUBBER. This is the hardcore show, please pit. Plus, karaoke until 2am with SABRINA THE TEENAGE BITCH, Deptford’s finest chaos host. £10/5 (free after 11pm), 7pm-2am.

Weekend tickets are available, but only until Monday 30th September! £30 (£15 unwaged) gets you all three days plus, because why not, a badge and physical ticket. Last chance to support the weekend and save up to £14 in the process. (Me and Vic (of Repetitive Strain) spent last night stamping badges while watching that G.I.S.M. DVD, so they are One of a Kind.)

Most importantly, we are using this weekend to raise money for people who are trapped within the carnage in Gaza, and thanks to a recommendation from the Spiral Times we are splitting all profits between Medical Aid for Palestinians and Free Kitchen Gaza, who are a grassroots organisation that is helping to feed as many people as possible around Khan Younis in Palestine - hopefully we can send enough money to help out with the rising costs of water tanks, firewood and produce (and we all hope that this genocidal war will come to an end soon; next march is October 5th.) Follow them on Instagram to keep up with their efforts and with more information on how to donate; you can also visit the MAP website here and keep up with their appeals.
(If you were wondering what everyone above sounds like, give this Buy Music Club page a go.)
Right, that will do for now - getting the October listings finished and will upload in time, with copies going out next week. Nearly 80 events in the grid which is just silly, but then it is getting colder and the time for costumes and large tubs of Mini Cheddars is SOON.
Take care, get to the gig(s) - B P / A S
