Hope Springs Opportunity
Helo lovely reader fam,
Spring is in the air and warmer weather brings new opportunities and new possibilities.
March started warm and the air felt lighter as the days turned into weeks. I took some time outside to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and I got several visits from my brother and sister-in-law’s cat Little Girl. I have to be honest here, I never have been a fan of cats, since they like to let their claws out when they play, but Little Girl doesn’t do that. She loves to be petted and she’s a gentle and sweet cat. She’ll let you know when she’s had enough, and it brings me joy to spend time with my four-legged nieces and nephew.
After I spend time with the animals in my family, I love to sit and listen to the nature sounds. Sometimes I get so relaxed, that I take an impromptu nap on the swing. At other times, I like to take my audiobook player specially designed for the blind and listen to my current book in progress, or I take my braille eReader and dive into a book while listening to my little am/FM radio or the sounds of nature and my wind chimes.
March wasn’t all warm weather and sunshine, though. We had a few cold days sprinkled in the mix. This just goes to show you that Winter isn’t over until after Easter, no matter what the calendar says.
How do you like to enjoy the warm spring air and sunshine? Hit reply with your answers and I’ll give one lucky winner a chance to choose one of my books, which I’ll send as a pDF or ePub file of your choice.
Featured Blog Post
I’ve made some discoveries about myself that I think are pretty cool. God has opened up a whole new world to me that was there all along, yet, I didn’t put two and two together until a few weeks ago. Here’s a blogpost I wrote about my heightened sensory awareness that the clinical professionals call synesthesia, but I call my “whisper touch.”

Scribbles got Soul
I have a special treat for you this month. My tech assistant and I created a poem based off the title of this newsletter, and the hashtag I created for sharing archive links on social media. The poem title is in the heading above, and you can read it below. I’ll ask a question at the end of this poem. I know most of you read this last month when I put out the fun challenge, but this is for my new readers who joined us a couple of weeks ago.
By the way, since I only got one response to my questions last time, I’m proud to announce that Kathleen R is the winner of her choice of either of my books in the format of her choice. I will send you an email shortly.
Without further ado, here’s this month’s featured poem.
When I get home
I’m in the zone
I got lines so divine
I can call my own
I just know
I’m in the flow
I’m on a roll
Cause my scribbles got soul
They’re full of faith
I write with grace
With fragments and scribbles all over the place.
Here’s my question, do you think this poem would be better set to music, or does it read well on its own? Hit reply and share your thoughts. I would really like to hear from you.
Behind the scenes book news
I am proud to inform you that I finished the rewritten draft of A Shadow On The Stepping Stones: book 1 of my Spirit Writers YA Contemporary Christian Fantasy series. I’m letting the book rest for a couple of weeks before I dive back in and begin the revision process. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
Author Spotlight
For the next four months, I’ll be introducing you to a new Christian author each month. Some of these authors write in different genres than what I write, but I hope you find a great read by any or all of these new authors. Each author will highlight me in their newsletters as well. If any of you authors in the group would like to do a newsletter swap where I feature you and you feature me, please hit reply and let me know. On the flip side, if any of you readers like being introduced to new authors, and you have a book recommendation from a particular author you’d like to share, hit reply and let me know.
This month, I’m excited to introduce you to Karen Lopez.
Louisiana author Karen Lopez writes uplifting inspirational fiction featuring resilient women, heartfelt romance, and journeys of faith. Whether historical or contemporary, her stories invite readers into worlds where courage, hope, and second chances can change everything.
Karen’s featured book is entitled: Shaw Point.
When the Great War leaves Martha widowed and heartbroken, will Shaw Point be the sanctuary she needs to start over?
Take a look at the book here. You may be surprised to discover a new favorite author’s books to add to your Tbr pile. While you’re waiting for news about my next release, why not take a look at the Sharing is Caring Blog where you can learn about other clean and Christian Fiction authors.
Call to action
If you’ve purchased Praying Through the Seasons or The Spirit of Creativity, and you haven’t already done so, I’d appreciate it if you’d do me a favor and write a review. Reviews help authors get noticed on Amazon and other sites. Your help is much appreciated.
Until next time, Happy reading and God Bless.
Love and Prayers,
