a quickie
get your mind out of the gutter
first, september’s flash fiction is up at interstellar flight magazine!
What the Tiles Know by Carol Scheina
this is a lovely story about…well, it’s short, so i will let you find out what it’s about, but i will say that it’s kind and sweet and centers disability without being solely about disability, which i really love. once this series is done, i intend to write about the selection process, but for now i will just say that this one was incredibly easy to say yes to!
second, i had occasion (my book going on sub) to buy myself flowers (and cake) and i would just like to recommend that everyone do this (or something equivalent) for yourself! it’s just lovely to celebrate ourselves.

not much else to report! i’ve joined the fusion fragment reading team. i love this magazine, which previously published my story “six meals at fanelli’s” (currently a finalist for the WSFA small press award), and i’m so delighted to be reading submissions now.
annika out!
