Two Reader Events
Information about a fundraiser and a Facebook party taking place January 30-31
I don’t normally send out this many newsletters in a single month, but January 2026 has been unusually. . . eventful.
Romance for Minnesota
First, in case you haven’t heard, romance authors Jane Hadley, Louise Mayberry, and Andie James have set up a “Romance for Minnesota” fundraising raffle. If you purchase a raffle ticket, you’ll be entered to win a number of prizes. The money raised will be donated to the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund. The raffle closes Saturday, January 31.

I’m participating in the fundraiser, and there are a number of more famous authors involved, including KJ Charles, Allie Oleander, Harper St. George, and more. Check out the Romance for Minnesota Instagram to learn more!
Cozy Socks and Hot Cocoa Party
My second announcement is about a more lighthearted event taking place this weekend. I’m participating in the annual “Cozy Socks and Hot Cocoa Party” at the Historical Romance Lovers Facebook group. It’s a two day event, starting January 30, but I’ll be posting on the 31st.
Important: you do have to be a member of the group to participate.

Here’s an invitation from the group’s moderators:
You're invited to our Annual Cozy Socks & Cocoa Party in the Historical Romance Lovers FB Group! There will be 60+ historical romance authors, each with their own g!v3away. By commenting anywhere at the party, you’re also eligible for the gr@nd pr!zes! There are just 3 easy steps to join in the fun! And if you're already an HRL member, please invite your friends and family if they like historical romance. Feel free to forward this post on to them.
To join HRL and the Party:
1.Click: https://www.facebook.com/groups/historicalromanceloversgroup
2. Answer two questions about your favorite historical authors and time periods (so we know you aren't an AI bot).
3. Agree to the group rules.
Then, BOOM, you're a member of Historical Romance Lovers with access to Takeover Tuesdays and our Annual Cozy Socks & Cocoa Party!
Goodbye, January!
Don’t know about you, but I’ll be happy to see the end of this month. Here’s hoping for a brighter February!
In the meantime, please feel free to forward this email to any romance readers who might be interested in either the raffle or the Facebook party. Stay safe and stay strong, Rollins Readers!
