Turning 50 & Navigating Workplace Change
Hello
I’m turning ‘half-a-century’ old this month and I’ll be celebrating in a few different ways. That includes next Friday’s Feel Good Networking Walk.
We’ll be wandering in London’s beautiful Victoria Park - a place that’s full of memories for me: celebrations, coaching sessions and time with my family. I’d love for you to join me - more info below.

Meanwhile, I’ve been thinking a lot about how change, especially at work, affects our sense of psychological safety. David Rock’s SCARF model is brilliant for making sense of this.
Changes to our roles or working relationships can threaten — or boost — our sense of safety across five dimensions:
Status
Certainty
Autonomy
Relatedness
Fairness
Here are a few questions worth pondering:
Which of these dimensions matters most to you?
If you've been through a work change and something feels off, has one (or more) of these been affected?
What conversations or actions could help you feel safer again?
You can read more about SCARF here.
And if you're going through change and fancy an uplifting coaching conversation, just get in touch.
